Random June Pics for Blog Catch Up

First day of being vegetarian instead of vegan. Not proud of it, and still intend on going vegan again in the future, hopefully soon, but for now we are vegetarian but still eat vegan foods as much as possible.

Summer dairy joy. First and last one.

We went for a walk and this is the first time we took Tehya for a walk without being worn or in a stroller. She walked all by herself. We also saw some sand pits and let her climb them. How fun!

Visiting Madison and belly swinging, a new fave thing to do she discovered. She loves that she can push herself with her feet.

At home on the swing. She LOVES swinging. Swinging and the sandbox, two favorite things.

Hates dirty feet. last summer she wouldn't step foot on the ground without shoes..this summer she does at times but doesn't like to often.

High school grad. We just happened to be walking through, we didn't know anyone graduating. Her already almost too small hoodie looking really small over a long tank, lol. She likes to climb things too you see...

Early morning waiting for her daddy to get home from work while watching toons.

Sandbox fun.

Couple new blogs to follow...will get to them later. :) Still catching up...as always.

Flickr (venting and warnings): Important for flickr users.

(blog is temporarily public so everyone can view this post)

Okay so not only did I have to private my blog (still undecided on making it public again) I now had to private my Flickr!!

In return for making my flickr private (I'll explain why I made it friends/family viewable only in this post later but feel free to skip ahead its in red, to the chase if you don't feel like reading my mumbo jumbo first, lol) now my already had to be private blog is displaying all "photo unavailable" pictures seems I uploaded them with flickr (and flickr is now private).

I don't like uploading straight from computer because it takes forever, they upload out of order, it ridiculously spaces out my post photos and paragraphs and I'm lucky if my photos don't "error" while uploading. See why I post using flickr? It was easy using that! But seems my flickr is now private my photos won't display, and it totally makes me mad. My compulsive obsessive self has to be greatly annoyed by this or I gotta spend hours, probably days re-uploading photos. Grrr.

Oh and did I mention my pretty myspace page that I thought looked pretty dang decent now just displays "photo unavailable" everywhere! Can you tell I'm annoyed by this?! All because I privated my flickr account.

Is there a way to make photos public from flickr photos that are private, for future posting?

Okay, now the reason my photos are friend/family only. Should probably continue reading if you have flickr and your photos are public.

Well the obvious reason, even with right click disabled, them space-balled, and blogable to you only, people can still steal them if they really wanted to. It's actually not that hard at all.

My main reason is Orkut. What I've learned about it is it is like Myspace for Brazillian kids. Like a social network. They are supposed to be 18 but they aren't. They "play" a role playing game with the kids pictures that they steal off of Flickr. "They use the photos to create profiles and they sometimes alter them in inappropriate ways. Requests to remove these photos are often ignored or responded to rudely."

Google Orkut and make a profile, type in FAKE and a ton of profiles will show up.... you'll see what I mean.

I don't remember if it was Orkut or not, but an external websites in the past had a picture of my daughter up without my permission (I don't even know how I managed to bump into it) and I had taking all the precautions and they still managed to snag a picture!!!

Also I'd had a few people blocked for suspicious activity and odd people and profiles adding me as a contact and adding my pictures as faves when they had no photos in their stream. I swear the same person has 10 accounts and keeps adding me.

Recently a member who I thought was harmless and safe had asked (I'm lucky they even asked) to use my photos for Orkut, and just the mention of that place got her blocked from me (even though they are blocked they still can see your photos!!!) and at that point I set my photos so ONLY people who I have marked as a friend or family can see them.

It's ridiculous things some people are and will do. I hate my pictures on private but safety comes first and until I find a better way to protect my photos they will remain that way. I hope I find some safe guarding. I upload them public for only a very short period with some safety guards (long enough for my mom and family to view, they have no flickr account) and then I set them to friends and family only.

Sunny Days, June 4th

Nothing much to say really, just another day of hard play and sunshine!

This picture is so goofy, the hat wasn't on her but just sitting on the top of her head, lol. IDK..it makes me giggle.

Coloring the cement and trying to color bugs too.

Mini Shoot and Grammy Visit, June 3rd

Stole her grammy's chapstick and was "sitting pretty" just cause I wasn't ready to shoot her (with the camera). My hands were full and we ready to go to my moms so I just did a quick snap shot.

All photo's below from Mom's house.

Climbing down the wall @ Grammies.

Looking at/for bugs.

Watching the tube @ home.

Lambi.

Phew, one more blog to catch up on, I'll post it up later.

Swing Set and Water Guns, June 2nd

Squeezed into last years dress. I'm trying to get her into last years clothes one more time before I pack them up. A lot of them still fit well.

She will fit into 18-24 months but that's a perfect fit and I don't buy that size anymore, her waist is 12 months size (I measured her waist w/ measuring tape) and her leg length is 2T (few 18-24 length). Figure that one out while clothes shopping.

Climbing up the slide.

Mini b&w version.

Blurry because I was squirting her with a squirt gun while taking her picture. She had her mouth open trying to catch the water.

She is paler than me and I am very pale myself. We don't tan..we burn (when sunscreen doesn't work or gets forgotten). I've never had a tan and neither has she. Only tan I ever had was from a tanning booth I went to one year but I don't tan anymore..I don't want wrinkles and skin cancer or to look super old when I am only slightly old, lol. :P I wear white proudly, lol.

The "nervous" or cautious face she makes right before she goes down the slide.

Climb.

Squirting mommy.

Taking cover, hiding from getting wet. Water gun fight.

Umm hun, you got the water gun backwards...

May 29 - June 1st

Posing.

Bad hair day.

Bath. Typical funny face.I gotta one of these days make a blog dedicated to her funny faces. She's expressive.

Swing. Where she is most the time.

I love this photo. Tehya and Sasha.

"Dammy", Lambi and Tehya.

Pout. Thinking, Mommy I'm done taking photo's, I wanna get down. She was sitting on a tall tree stump.

May 26th-27th: Sick?

Peek.

Tehya and Sasha.

Tehya has/had this mysterious "sickness". She's never ever been sick, not even so much as had a diaper rash *knock on wood* but she randomly vomits. No fever, no other symptoms....just random vomiting. It lasted like 6 hours then she was fine. Three days later of feeling great it happened again out of the blue. I have no idea why or if it's a sickness or what...hmm. If it happens a third time, as much as I hate her ped., I may need to call.

Feeling ill. After many rounds of puking you become weak and bleck feeling.

Took her outside for fresh air. I didn't know if it'd make her better or worse but I gave it a shot.

After about 20 minutes of just chillin' on mommies lap she showed signs of feeling better and decided to give the swing a try. Not the best choice for an upset stomach but it's what SHE wanted to do.

After a period of time she threw up on the swing. Unlike other times she wasn't upset or bothered by it...she just went in the house running to get a towel to clean the swing off. Then back to swinging she went.

The more time passed the better she felt and the rest the night she was fine...until days later when more "episodes" occurred.
